Private Server Quest Addon

NOTE: Since ScapeGaming upgraded to WOTLK, some of the previously-bugged quests have been fixed. Download the latest Notices file from below as we've re-set with the latest information.

Private servers for WoW are never going to be bug-free. Playing on ScapeGaming (aka WoWscape) I see the message all the time: "Is [quest name] bugged?" One of the threads on the scapegaming forums has a list of the bugged quests: http://forums.scapegaming.com/index.php?showtopic=192521 (built upon TheLard's bugged quest list: http://forums.scapegaming.com/index.php?showtopic=192113)

Wouldn't it be great if you could check that for yourself, in-game? I took the above thread and update one of the files that the wonderful LightHeaded addon uses. In order to check whether a quest on WoWscape is bugged, you can use this updated version of the LightHeaded file. Here's what it looks like in-game:

Another cool thing about this is that the addon will show a bugged quest in the chain of quests you are on. Consider that you may be interested in completing a chain of quests to get a specific reward, just to find out on the Nth quest that it can't be completed. In the example below, if the whole reason I wanted to follow this quest series was to get the wand or shield reward from the final quest (rather good for the level available) then I know right now not to bother... that's quite a few quests!

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

NOTE: If you have LightHeaded, please remove / back up / disable it... this LightHeadedPNX addon is LightHeaded, so will conflict if you have them both running.

1. Install this modified LightHeaded addon from the following page: http://dp.gotdns.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=19 or http://pnx.gotdns.com/dp/downloads.php?do=file&id=19

    To install, copy the unzipped folders to  your addon directory, it should have:
        [wow install directory]\Interface\AddOns\LightHeaded_PNX

        [wow install directory]\Interface\AddOns\LightHeaded_Data_B_PNX
        [wow install directory]\Interface\AddOns\LightHeaded_Data_C_PNX

        [wow install directory]\Interface\AddOns\LightHeaded_Data_E_PNX
        [wow install directory]\Interface\AddOns\LightHeaded_Data_NPC_PNX

        [wow install directory]\Interface\AddOns\LightHeaded_Notices_PNX

2. That's it! For now, Calystos has the most up to date version of the quests in his download!

Note: Original LightHeaded addon can be downloaded from here although the PNX version will work with both retail and private servers.

** Last update  30 May 2009 **
Calystos has updated the code to the addon and is actively working with Kiwi_Pearls, GL of Senility, who has had her guild helping her to find bugged quests so has done a lot of updates to the bugged quests list. GOOD WORK!

** Previous updates  **
- 27 May 2009 - Reset all data. Boratock is listing as fast as he can, and the Scape forums are filling up with working / non-working LK quests. Started to add a few Outlands quests myself.
- 5 May 2009 - Removed a quote in the data file causing the addon to show an error at startup; More quests from Boratok added.
- 17 April 2009 - Boratock has started another character, so we'll be seeing a few Draenai quests updated here.
- 13 April 2009 - more quests added by Boratock
- 6 Feb 2009 - more quests added by Boratock; amended addon code by Calystos; additional feedback from others in the community
